The new 2013 Volvo C70, launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September 2009, comes with a smart three-piece steel roof, comfortable seating for four adults and world-class convertible safety. Power and performance
The new C70 is powered by a powerful 227 horsepower turbocharged five-cylinder engine mated to a standard five-speed automatic transmission with driver selectable Geartronic shifting. It delivers a respectable 19 miles per gallon in city and 28 miles on highways. The FWD C70 includes Volvo's standard Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC) system. The cargo capacity stands at 12.8 cubic feet.
Body and styling
The C70 is marked by its bold new look and a number of interior enhancements. One can see the traces of S60 concept car (2009) in it but it closely related to the designs cues of larger cars in the Volvo lineup. SIRIUS satellite radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free system, high performance audio system, active subwoofers, USB and iPod music interface, electronic climate control, luxurious Sovereign Hide leather upholstery, a more wedge-shaped nose, exclusive high-tech LED lights, and a redesigned instrument panel are among its key features.
The C70 can be upgraded with Dynamic, Multimedia, Convenience and Climate packages.
Safety Features
The 2013 Volvo C70 is one of safest convertibles in the world with a number of sophisticated safety technologies. The driver and passenger airbags protect head, face and chest in front collisions.
